Cotton Hair Bow Headband or Bow Tie

Materials:

Yarn Bee Mimosa yellow 3.5 oz ball (62% cotton 38% rayon)

Ribbon

Stretchy headband

Hot glue/gun

Circular Needles Size 5

Gauge: 6sts =1″ 8 rows = 1″

Measures: 3 1/2″ long & 2″ wide

Pattern:

Cast on 24 sts with the figure 8 cast on (12sts on each needle) Work in the round with magic loop method.

Rounds 1-6: Knit

Round 7: *K2tog, k8, ssk, repeat from * to end of round.

Round 8 and all even rounds: Knit

Round 9: *K2tog, k6, ssk, repeat from * to end of round.

Round 11: *K2tog, k4, ssk, repeat from * to end of round.

Round 13: *K2tog, k2, ssk, repeat from * to end of round.

Rounds 14, 15, 16: Knit

Round 17: Knit 1 back and front loop, k2, k1 back & front loop (6 sts total)

Round 19: K1 back & front loop, k4, k1 back & front loop (8 sts total)

Round 21: K1 back & front loop, k6, k1 back & front loop (10 sts total)

Round 23: K1 back & front loop, k8, k1 back & front (12 sts total)

Round 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29: Knit

Using kitchener’s stitch bind off and weave in ends.

With matching ribbon wrap around the center of bow and secure with hot glue.

Attach bow to a headband, hair clip, or barret with ribbon and glue.

You can knit an i-cord if you prefer to make your own band.
